Some of my best memories are of time spent shopping with my mother. Afternoons growing up in Camp Hill were extra special when my mother took me out for lunch followed by shopping at Mary-Sachs in downtown Harrisburg, Wanamaker’s at the East Mall or Schleisner’s at the Camp Hill Plaza. My mother taught me a love of high quality clothing and the enthusiasm to seek it out at affordable prices. It must be genetic because this is also a favorite activity shared by me and my daughter, Mary-Elaine!

When I have a rare afternoon free, nothing fills it better than time spent browsing and being inspired by designs and displays I see curated in stores. This is what I’ve tried to create at Little Black Dress – a place for women to browse and try on clothes until they find the one thing (or things!) that make them feel their absolute best! We encourage women to try on a variety of styles & colors and accessorize in a more bold way, yet still maintain their personal style. I want customers to leave my store feeling confident that they look their absolute best in whatever they have purchased from Little Black Dress. To that end, we pride ourselves on our candor, ensuring that each customer makes the most flattering choice. When shopping at Little Black Dress, I want the experience to be as memorable and fabulous as the garments purchased!

My biggest fashion pet peeve is skirts. I can never find a skirt that is both comfortable and looks good on me.

My personal style can be described in these in 3 words – Relaxed, patterns, and feminine.

My style muse is Kate Middleton. I love everything in her closet, especially all of her pea coats. I also loved Emma Stone’s style from her latest press tour because everything she wore was different and stood out on the red carpet.

The best part of working at Little Black Dress is to work with these amazing women whom I’ve been lucky to call my friends for the past two years.

Cats or dogs? I am definitely a cat person.

My current obsession is binge watching the show Veep and black skinny jeans.

I feel most beautiful when I’m wearing a dress.
